Education Background

Work Experience

  • Tianfu Fluid Big Data Research Center, High-Performance Computing Application Position - Intern2024/07-2024/12

Responsibilities: Mainly responsible for CFD related work, including software porting and improving some modules. Also had experience in operator development for Tecorigin, focusing on IO bottlenecks, with some operators achieving nearly a 10x speedup.

Competition Experience

  • High-Performance Computing Optimization for mRNA Modification Site Detection2024/07-2024/12

Project Description: Selected from the ASC25 competition topic, focusing on the detection process of “5-methylcytosine” (m5C) modification sites on mRNA. It is a workflow composed of multiple software tools, involving bash, java, c++, and python.

Responsibilities: Used bash to adjust the workflow, adapted the use of UMICollapse based on genome types, refactored pthreads in hisat-3n-table to use OpenMP instead.

Project Achievements: Achieved a 17x speedup compared to the workflow provided by the organizing committee and won the second prize nationally.

  • ParaSeis Software Porting and Optimization2024/07-2024/12

Project Description: This project comes from the super team competition topic of the ASC24 World University Supercomputing Competition, used to simulate the propagation process of seismic waves inside the Earth.

Responsibilities: Configured the required dependency library environment on the local cluster; successfully compiled using ifx, optimized communication processes, modified implicit function declarations, and optimized redundant file read operations.

Project Achievements: On initial test cases, achieved an average 3x speedup compared to the baseline.

  • Porting and Optimization of ROMS Regional Ocean Model Based on New Generation Sunway Supercomputer2024/07-2024/12

Project Description: Final topic of the 7th National CPU Parallel Application Challenge. It involves porting and optimizing the geophysical numerical simulation software ROMS regional ocean model (Fortran) for many-core processors.

Responsibilities: Analyzed over 20 sub-algorithm dependency patterns, parallelized more than 10 sub-algorithms; optimized inter-core group communication through cross-section copying.

Project Achievements: Passed the correctness verification provided by the organizing committee’s test cases, achieving an average 3.7x speedup on 3 test cases, ranking sixth among the final teams and winning the second prize nationally.
